In general, fuses are explained as simple safety or protective devices that are used in electrical or electronic circuits to provide overcurrent protection for an electrical circuit for the safety of homes, business places, and companies.

 One of the most essential components of fuses is the thin or metal wire that links the two contact points to be able to work or operate together. Whenever a faulty current or a current flows over its limits in an electrical or electronic circuit, the metal link of the fuse would then melt or break into two different parts to become an open circuit and interrupt the circuit to prevent an outbreak or any damage in that particular circuit.

  Cartridge fuses A cartridge fuse is one of the popularly known types of fuse which can simply be defined or explained as a type of fuse that is designed or constructed in a form of a cylinder shape or object which is made from ceramics, has either both contact points to be a glass or a metal cap. Most of these cartridge fuses are porcelain. 

 Under the type of fuses, cartridge fuses are rated from a specialized voltage from 250 Volts up to 600Volts in a circuit and its rated amperes vary as greater as or higher as 600 amperes based on or depending on the specific fuse. This type of fuse is usually not costive or they are low-cost safety or protective devices that are used for the protection or to ensure the safety or protection of electrical circuits and homes. 

  Resettable fuses These are the types of fuses or safety devices that are specially and purposely designed for the safety and protection of electronic components in an electronic circuit or devices in opposition to an overcurrent fault in an electronic circuit. 

 These are the types of protective or safety devices that can also be called a multi fuse or a poly switch and sometimes poly fuse. They are the commonly known type of fuse that is very small in size and are also capable of protecting your electronic circuit system from smoking. 

  Thermal fuses Thermal fuses are the type of fuses or protective devices that are specially designed for the protection and the safety of electrical circuit elements against overheating. Some of these categories are installed in the electrical equipment or appliances that use heat prone or that are made heat prone.

 Whenever the electric appliances passed their normal operation or working current, the thermal fuse would then automatically disconnect or separate appliances or cut off or break off to stop or prevent that electric appliance from fire outbreak and damage. 

HBC (High Breaking Capacity) fuses These are the types of electrical fuses that are specially made and purposely designed for the protection of an electrical circuit or electrical installations circuits in opposition to a current flow in a power distribution system or networks. 

HBC simply means High Breaking Capacity fuse. They are the types of fuses that are especially recommended to be used in power distribution networks that are extra rated current and they have more fuse links that are mounted.

  Rewireable fuses These are the types of electrical fuses or protective devices that are specially and purposely designed to be rewired or renewed after it breaks or cut off due to faulty current flow that is flowing through the electrical circuit. 

 They are also known to be fuse carriers that consist of the length of the wire of a fuse that is swaddled cloak throughout the terminals that covers the space within the fuse carriers and the pin to make the electrical circuit complete for free flow of current. It helps protect an electrical circuit against overload current, short circuits, short circuits, many more.

  Chancy fuse These are the types of fuses that can be used in an electrical circuit as a rewireable fuse. Chancy fuses are also the types of fuses that are having a dividable wire that has been made with copper.
 As we all know that chancy fuse types are sometimes used as the rewireable type of fuses and are made up of copper.
